Iberia delay

We had a flight delay on 23rd February 2005 Heathrow to Madrid with Iberia. This meant we missed our connection to Santiago and subsequently didn't arrive there until Saturday the 26th Feb. On our return from holiday I wrote to Iberia detailing all the problems we had and asking for compensation but they ignored my letter. Fortunately I have a copy of the letter I forwarded to them and have again sent them all the details. I have just noted however that if a claim wasn't in the courts by the 24th October 2006 then the airline will not be obliged to pay any compensation.
If they still refuse to pay any compensation am I right in thinking I will not be able to persue it.

You would have needed to bring a legal action within six years of the delay ie February 2011. So you are nearly three years out of time, as you cannot bring this to court.0 -
you need to have raised court action within 6 years of the flight (it does not matter if you were corresponding with the airline before then) if you did not start your court claim by 23rd February 2011 you are out of time0

The limitation period is 10 years in Spain so if you can find a Spanish NWNF company to deal with your claim then you may be in luck. BTW I don't know of any such companies myself.0
