Nasty phone calls

No I have no idea who this person is, I will look in to the phone.0

yes only landline, but I am not in phone book0

As I said I would change my number if my provider couldn't help. If they continue then you know it's someone you know. Life's too short for hassle!!The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
A winner listens, a loser just waits until it is their turn to talk:)0 -
I do see your point about changing number, but its not that simple. also why shoud I have to go to all that trouble just for some idiot? The phone that blocks numbers looks likeit may be the answer just trying to find out cost0

Mind it's not 'your' number -it's just a random set that just happen to point to your line for now.
Get a call blocking phone mind that BT one only does 10 blocks I beleive where the Panasonics do 30.
Set the Panasonic to Night Mode for 24hrs too so it'll only ring for those in your white list (it'll light up for others or if they are blocked nothing will happen and the caller gets an engaged tone).
I'd guess it's someone who used to know you or maybe not. If they're not ringing your mobile then you can work out the dates.
Either way be more proactive and you resolve it.
Also TalkTalk not do withheld and blocking (10 numbers) for free with most of their contracts.0 -
I may be wrong but I thought the Panasonic phones can only blocked numbers and not withheld or international calls.
The alternative is one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/CPR-Global-CPR106-All-in-One-Blocker/dp/B004BTVQ5E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1391952855&sr=8-1&keywords=callblocker0 -
I feel have been proactive. I contacted nuisance phone call team and police, been keeping a log of calls etc
I do know its not "MY number, but it would cause me a hell of a lot of hassle to change it.
I am going to get a call blocker phone, seems the best way in long run.
Shame I have to do it just because of some low life.0 -
Had a similar thing with a person who claimed I had stolen their Vodafone mobile number , was mine for at least 6 months by then and I was actually on BT mobile at the time
Used to ring my mobile late at night when they were drunk threatening to come round ( they had no idea where I lived or what my name was
)
They were stupid enough to not withhold their number thoughEx forum ambassador
