Orange iPhone bill query

My son(17 yrs)has an iPhone 4 on orange contract. Today. I noticed that his bill was £41 and not the £28. It is meant to be. Phoned orange who advised I have been paying this for a few months( but I haven't noticed) and this is due to my son subscribing to tv subs which he said is sky sport charged at £11 per month. My son has had this phone for nearly 2years now and is adamant he has not subscribed to any chargeable services. I have called orange back and they have advised they will pass my query onto a specific department who will call me back in the next 7 days.
Anybody else had similar experience and if so what was your outcome?

The only way to have these type of subscriptions added to your bill is from the handset itself. It cannot be added any other way. It'll be doubtful you'll get a refund.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    For 'swapables' Orange's website says
    get Swapables now
So, "from the handset itself" seems to be not the only way.
I guess that even via the mobile one has to enter some password to get access the account.
  • Yeah I doubt you will get a refund. Just cancel the subscription ASAP to avoid any more charges.
