We wrote the following as we are the ones 'hosting' (and paying). The wedding has been arranged solely by myself and H2B and I've fluffed off parents ideas as it is our wedding, not theirs.

Personally I think the whole thing about the parents 'hosting' is quite outdated and not for us. My MIL2B did however get such an invitation the other day from her friend who is 'hosting' a wedding for her daughter and fiance. However MIL2B has never met the daughter or fiance, this confuses me

I agree Sazzarella, we are the ones planning it, we are the ones doing the guest list and sending out invitations, we are the ones paying. Therefore in my eyes we are the hosts.
