Vodaphone charging me for account closed years

I was charged incorrectly by vodaphone many years ago and it was sorted... or so I thought

They have now sent me a letter asking for payment and say they have no record of any correspondence at all. This isn't for the payment they asked for a couple of years ago it is a new one.
Online chat was no good and I have emailed them hoping it will be sorted. Hopefully Lee from Vodaphone will read this.

Vodafone are a joke, my mum is having a nightmare with them, she's currently getting in contact with the ombudsman as they are worse than useless. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

When I went on online chat they basically said because my security details didn't match what they had, which was my date of birth, I would have to go into a vodaphone shop and show them proof of identity before they can do any more. They were very unhelpful.Debts: Virgin Card [STRIKE]£5,600[/STRIKE] £5,636, First Direct [STRIKE]£7,700[/STRIKE] £7,000, Halifax [STRIKE]£3,200[/STRIKE] £3,810, Halifax Clarity [STRIKE]£755[/STRIKE] £711, Tesco [STRIKE]£4,005[/STRIKE] £4,450, MNBA [STRIKE]£6,700[/STRIKE] £6,580, Loan [STRIKE]£15,834[/STRIKE] £15,218 Total: [STRIKE](45K at highest) £43,794k[/STRIKE] £43,4050

Hi onehitwonder,
Thanks for making aware of this.
Having taken a look at your previous thread, it would appear that this is a separate matter to the one I handled a few years ago.
However, to enable me to get this recent issue looked into, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

I sent in a request as you mentioned on Saturday and received a reference number "WRT135 - MSE [#6055047]"
I hope you can sort this out as it I assume it is related to the old call. I was told it was related to a 'dongle' contract set up in 2009 so I can't see it being anything else - especially as I don't have any contracts with Vodafone.
Many thanks.Debts: Virgin Card [STRIKE]£5,600[/STRIKE] £5,636, First Direct [STRIKE]£7,700[/STRIKE] £7,000, Halifax [STRIKE]£3,200[/STRIKE] £3,810, Halifax Clarity [STRIKE]£755[/STRIKE] £711, Tesco [STRIKE]£4,005[/STRIKE] £4,450, MNBA [STRIKE]£6,700[/STRIKE] £6,580, Loan [STRIKE]£15,834[/STRIKE] £15,218 Total: [STRIKE](45K at highest) £43,794k[/STRIKE] £43,4050 -

Just got off the phone to Lee, who will be cancelling the contract that was set up and all charges, quite rightly, will be cancelled.
It seems that it is related to the old call, but slightly different, because it seems two accounts were set up originally, when it should have been one.
Lee sorted the problem last time for the first contract, but it wasn't apparent that there was another account so that was left active.
Anyway Lee is sorting everything so many thanks Lee. :T
I am also greatfull to MSE forum as if it wasn't for me finding my old thread I wouldn't have been able to link this new problem to the old one.
Stressfull and time consuming getting this sorted but at least it is should be ok now. I have asked for written confirmation this time so if it raises its head again I have some evidenceDebts: Virgin Card [STRIKE]£5,600[/STRIKE] £5,636, First Direct [STRIKE]£7,700[/STRIKE] £7,000, Halifax [STRIKE]£3,200[/STRIKE] £3,810, Halifax Clarity [STRIKE]£755[/STRIKE] £711, Tesco [STRIKE]£4,005[/STRIKE] £4,450, MNBA [STRIKE]£6,700[/STRIKE] £6,580, Loan [STRIKE]£15,834[/STRIKE] £15,218 Total: [STRIKE](45K at highest) £43,794k[/STRIKE] £43,4050 -
