Virgin Holiday

Booked Holiday with Virgin in September which cost just under £4000 thinking I was getting the best price as I booked early. Went on Virgin website during January and saw the exact same holiday almost a £1000 cheaper. Phoned Virgin up to ask why the holiday was almost a £1000 cheaper and could I get a discount. They said no as the holiday I booked was in a sale. So I cancelled the holiday losing my £350 deposit. Then rebooked the exact same holiday for almost a £1000 cheaper. So even though I lost my original £350 deposit I saved £650 by rebooking. Can you believe it

I guess it's loosely a tip to save money on your holiday, or to be vigilant on watching the price after you have booked a bargain?
