I've never used them, never heard of them before I clicked on the link but wondering how you kept them clean after a use without having to wash them, I clicked on the description which tells you that they have a

Food safe, PEVA liner that wipes clean

I use the bags from the inside of cereal boxes, bread bags, or foil which I re-use.

They have wipe clean plastic inside & the gingham cloth on the outside (that stays clean too, so it must be treated with something) & velcro tabs to hold it together.
Apart from looking nice, if you eat your lunch at your desk, it opens out like a little picnic blanket. It keeps your desk area clean & protects your lunch from all the germs on your desk.

I see thank you, think I am going to buy one and see if can copy it, I rather fancied making some to give as presents.

Great idea, I think you could improve it by using proper wipe clean on both sides:D
  • This is the first link from my search- uses a plastic bag as the wipe- clean liner.

This is one which uses vinyl tablecloth material.

This one uses something called fusible vinyl.

I want to make some now!
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • I made my own Wrap'n'Mat equivalents about two years ago and use them all the time. I made a small, medium, and large, so even if I'm having a huge sandwich it can be wrapped perfectly. They don't spill or leak, they're wipe-clean, and they are light and flat when empty so I don't mind carrying them home again.

I made mine with fusible Vinyl (it's not marked as food safe but that doesn't bother me), but if I have to make more I'll try and get some pretty oilcloth.

Everybody should have some of these!

I always use foil. Cling film is complete nono for me as I find it makes them sweat. I don't like plastic boxes just because if I am having sandwiches it is because I am out and about and don't want to be carrying an empty box around with me afterwards.
