I never fill on the wrong side.

Far too easy to drag a crappy dirty hose across the paintwork - I sit and wait and often have a laugh at the numpties who do that.

I'm never in that much of a hurry and don't want to have spend time polishing off the scuffs.

I suppose most 'numpties' either don't see or don't care about scuffs on the paintwork.

I laugh at them laughing at me waiting. ;)

Just like I laugh at the spotty yoofs who beat me away from the traffic lights. :p

I guarantee that I've NEVER scuffed my paint work doing that.

I have scuffed my paintwork, doing other things, like driving into a lamppost at 40 MPH. That wouldn't T cut out either. :rotfl:

The ease or otherwise of using a pump on the 'wrong' side of the car to a large extent depends on the design of the car.

I have sat and watched folks drag the hose across the boot lid.

But of course hire cars, company cars, and borrowed other folk's cars dont get scuffs - do they. ;)

How about putting a big yellow steering lock on your wheel, very secure you might think, but not when you are on a ferry surrounded by 200 other cars.

There was an armed raid outside our local Tesco, when the security van collecting the cash was ambushed.

The police placed blue and white tape, with POLICE written all over it, around the immediate area.

People were climbing over the tape trying to get into the store. Some women with kids were doing a sort of limbo action to get under it.

Saw a similar thing when I was a witness to an armed robbery of a betting shop when I was on my way home from work in Manchester.

The place had its shutter down, a sign up saying closed, was packed with police and punters were still crawling under the shutter and pulling at the locked door as I was giving a statement...

Yup - same thing at makro in Aberdeen.

Car-park full of police - entrance closed with the blue and white tape - and as customers were being escorted out the exit - others were trying to sneak in past the police who were taking statements.

Some people are either really bone-idle and don't realise or somehow think their shopping is more important than their safety/others safety. I think the police are used to it though. Everyone in the place was gone as soon as they could, wasting no time to give statements. I feel for the poor girls behind the till.

I was there knocking on the door but they just kept trying to shoo my away. It took a while of ignoring them before they realised I'd seen the guys do it and they ran right past me as they were running off.
