    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Aaah thanks all for your warm wishes - they are very much appreciated.

I've spoken to my GP already and she's asked that we go in for an appt next Tuesday given my recent history and length of time TTCing. She suggested I might be referred to a consultant and might get an early scan but nothing confirmed.

Wishing each and every one of you the very best of luck in your TTC journey - never, ever give up hope.

    Love Gelly

Huge congrats Gelly - really pleased for you.

Sorry to hear you are out this month Wegle but hoping next month is the one.

Sulphate - fingers crossed you might still get your BFP or at least that your cycles start behaving themselves.

Next month will be our 11th month TTC so really hoping for some luck! I know I'm thinking way too far ahead but does anyone know - the cut off for IVF in my area is 35, so that means I'm not classed as 'too old' until I actually turn 36 right? It seems a bit crazy to think about already but I'm turning 34 this year and feel that time isn't on my side anymore, then I feel ridiculous for feeling that as I still think I'm pretty young...? Sorry for rambling on like a crazy lady :o

    Huge congrats Gelly :T

Shrimps, in my experience every area has different procedures / age limits etc. Im not sure of your situation, but if you haven't done so already, if I were you I'd book a gp appointment to discuss it now. They should be able to reassure you, and may even do some tests etc (many of which are necessary before a referral to a specialist). Good luck.
  • Wow! Huge congratulations Gelly. That's amazing news. Hope you have a happy and healthy 9months :j

Cwtw thank you so much for your reply. My friend was referred last year and told the limit was 35, I has always thought it was 40 everywhere before that. I haven't had any tests yet but had my cervix removed 18 months ago due to cancer so that may be causing some complications. I hate going to the drs, I always feel like I'm making a fuss over nothing and wasting their time :o

Shrimps, I'm sure they won't think you're wasting their time, especially given your medical history. If you have a gp you know and like, please book an appointment, they might be more helpful than you think!
