  • I know how you feel ladies :( Cycle 10 TTC for me. This morning fertility friend decided to move ov day forward meaning I don't think we DTD close enough to ov. Feel like I'm just going through the motions and waiting for AF before moving onto cycle 11. Feels like it's never going to be my turn. *Hugs* to all that need one.

Hugs lulu and slowlyfading. Lulu all that matters is that you know your relationship is solid, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Slowlyfading I had that moment last weekend. I just had this worry grip me that it was never going to happen, even though we've only been trying since July! We are here to listen to you moan, and I'm sure a lot of us here feel exactly the same.

As cherrylips says, be kind to yourselves xx

Oh I know I shouldn't care what they think, but I do because I'm so silly!!

It just gets to me when my extended family refuse to believe that I'm in a very solid relationship. My auntie made it quite clear that she didn't approve of OH when we first got together and the rest of them don't even realise that I've not lived at my mum's for two years even though I've told them plenty of times! It's probably because I'm still seen as being a kid as my sister and I are the eldest grandchildren (we go 24, 22, 20, 12, 11, 10, 9, 6, 4 & 2) so I'm often lumped in the kids category still. Part of me can't wait for the BFP just so I can hear what they have to say about it because I know they will think we've been stupid and irresponsible!

Sorry for ranting, I am a generally positive person really!

Sorry about that snapping, but fingers crossed :)

  • On yes lulu, I completely get it - it's easy for an outsider to say who cares what anyone else thinks but I'm sure I would be exactly the same in your shoes! That does suck how your family think of you and your OH. In your twenties and in a stable long term relationship you certainly shouldn't be thought of as a kid!

Really what would be their reasoning for thinking you are being irresponsible - it might actually make them realise you are both grown ups!

Rant away, we all need a good moan and sometimes here is the only place we can! :)
  • I don't know what's been going on here this morning but thought I'd bump our thread!
Lulu I feel like we're similar in cycles-i came off the pill on 18th sept and af came yesterday. Will you be using ovulation sticks or do you know when your cycle well? After being on POP for so long and having little/no bleeding I've no idea how long mine should be!

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I'm a little down about the whole TTC this evening :( does anyone else feel like it's never going to happen for them? I know that's a stupid thing to say, but feeling a little fragile this evening :(:o

Yes I feel the same, TTC for over 18 months, 2 MC, now period not on time! Hoping it's not the end of the road for me. I'm 40, 41 at end of year :-(

I'm not going to use sticks for the first six months because judging by last month I was pretty in sync with my app's predictions which was pretty good so I'm just semi-playing it by ear. Just gotta get some BD in this week! I first started taking the pill in 2007 and I was pretty regular before that so I'm hoping my last AF was a good sign that my body is going back to normal.

ttc39 hugs to you. I always feel bad moaning about it because there's so many people having a harder journey.

  • Morning everyone,

Sorry to hear everyone's feeling so frustrated ((((hugs to you all)))).
TTC can be a really frustrating game but I'm sure we'll all get there in the end.
Sounds silly but when I look at DS I just think he was 'meant' to be here and that if I had got pg any other month it wouldn't be him here. Does that sound strange? I just believe things happen when they're supposed to happen, but I do understand how frustrating it is and feel the same at times.
The hardest things is when people around you are falling pg and you just want it to be you.

Welcome to the board tatabubbly :wave:I think the only tips I would have would be to try to find out the approximate day that you ovulate (usually mid cycle but not for everyone) and then try to BD as much as possible around those times :kisses3:. An OPK can help with this but can also put pressure on you.
The biggest tip would be to try to relax as there's no bigger passion killer than BDing 'cos you 'have to'!
They do say about 85% of couples will fall pg within the first year of trying so don't be too downheartened if you don't get your BFP straight away. Good luck! :)

Blueneleh - I don't post in here much these days as I have more if less moved across to the other thread, but I had to post to thank you for that post. What you said about your LO being conceived at the right time to be who they are today has really resonated with me.

I'm cd6 today, but I think I would like to be removed from the lists please Kelly? I will still be reading though and of course wish you all lots of luck and love ladies xx

Seconding the thanks to blueneleh. I'm sure we will all get there eventually one way or another. This thread is a godsend because TTC is not something that I talk about to others (my friends work with my OH and he doesn't want any customers knowing - they're nosy enough!) (my mum knows, can't tell my sister now as she'll probably think I'm stealing thunder [whatevs, been trying 2 months now, been with my OH longer, too..])

  • Thanks Blueneleh! Trying to not put too much pressure on ourselves! I'm CD11 according to my app.. Been using it before I came off my pill so now it's just a fun waiting game to see if I get AF this month as per usual!!

Thankfully we are away from home so at least we can do this on our own! I've started taking centrum pre natal vitamins and we are cutting out the crap in the diets and I'm down to one cup of tea a day! So not a bad start!
