Thick sticky discharge is non-fertile cm. It's watery and egg white cm that's fertile, so you probably did ov last week if you had those symptoms, particularly if your temp has remained elevated. The cm you describe can be normal during the tww. Fx for you :D

So I caved in and tested this morning. A massive blank square window, that kind of looks super-negative, was my reward. :( wasn't really expecting to see a bfp but...
Starting to feel due on now so think I may be out this month. We'll see.

  • vickyv I was a bit of a serial tester last month and two days before I got a faint line, I had tested and it was completely blank, so it not over until AF arrives! still have fingers crossed for you x
  • Thanks for all the good wishes and replies - sorry I haven't responded sooner, been a bit preoccupied with things.

For those who didn't realise, a few weeks ago I had to go to the GP with mid cycle bleeding (never happened before). It wasn't heavy but didn't match the symptoms of implantation bleeding at all.

The GP ran some tests (which came back clear) and advised I take a pg test to rule this in or out. It was a bit early then to test but I did it anyway, and it came back negative. The bleeding stopped so a few days later and when AF was due I took another test which was BFP. As requested I told the GP this and because of the bleeding she advised I take another test on Thursday and let her know the result on Friday (which is when I will be 6 weeks). If it is still positive she is going to refer me to the EPU for a scan (apparently this is the earliest it is worth doing the scan). So I have been testing every other day so far (couldn't help myself) and each time have had a really strong BFP, which is good but I am still feeling quite apprehensive about what the scan will (or won't) show. I assume that they should be able to see something this early but I am also not sure how long it would take to get a BFN if I have had a miscarriage or similar.

Do you think I should be cautiously optimistic or could it still be bad news?
