LisaJane (31) TTC#1 since 22/07/14
Hi, I'm new! I wanted to start TTC in Jan 2014, however I started a new job in Feb 14 so wanted to wait to start TTC for financial reasons (maternity pay). So I came off the pill in June there and am currently having my first go at TTC!! My first natural AF since coming off the pill came one day early and lasted a normal amount of time, so I am hopeful that things are back to normal AF wise (although am feeling now like I wish I had have come off sooner, but was too feared about getting pregnant too soon!)
I haven't tried to work out ovulation exactly as this is our first month trying and I didn't want to pile on the pressure too soon as I am aware it can take on average 6 months to get pregnant...but I tried to work out ovulation roughly and we've had a few trys in the last week. I am very excited and worried all at the same time...would just love to get pregnant ASAP, and know I will be so disappointed if it doesn't happen quickly!!
I was just wondering if any of you know or have any experience of any physical symptoms to know ovulation is happening?? I read something about mucus/discharge?? I also read something about pains in ovaries and cramping...I have been feeling sort of very mild period pains and I was wondering does this mean ovulation?!
Also what are the first signs of pregnancy and how soon do you feel them usually?
Many thanksSave 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

Hi and welcome Lilian and LisaJane. Good luck to you both!
Lisa - I don't have any ovulation symptoms bar ewcm (clear stretchy discharge). Some people do get pains though.
As for pregnancy symptoms these vary quite a bit but with my two previous I felt like AF was coming so very similar symptoms. Only real thing that stood out was i got bad backache with both before BFP which I don't normally get. This was a couple of days before AF due.0 -
Congratulation sparkle!! Lovely news, lets hope a few more can get in and make July a better month than its been so far. Welcome to all new ttc'ers0

Hi everyone, another newbie here! I have a 4yo dd and DH and I have decided that the time is right for another one! I stopped taking the mini pill 2 weeks ago, but haven't had a bleed yet. In the past when I've missed a pill or two I started bleeding within about 24 hours so I am a little confused as to what's going on! I have reason to suspect that I may have ovulated (based on symptoms) a couple of days after stopping pill so I'm hoping I might be one of the incredibly lucky ones who fall pregnant straight away!
Has anybody else had experience with coming off of Cerazette?0 -

Hi all! I joined this thread 4 or 5 months ago, but thanks to teaching crazy lifestyle, didn't have chance to post again.
DS1 was a total surprise and there was only possibly one occasion he was conceived on!
This is now the 5th month. We've been trying for a second.
What does AF stand for??
Period due today on a 26 day cycle. Yesterday and the day before I had cramping, but today nothing. No period. Just this weird white discharge.
This month we ensued ovulation stick things that you dip in urine - cheapie ones from Amazon. They did show up that I was ovulating (late-ish in cycle), and we did DTD once the day before that day, but due to me being so exhausted with end of term, only managed to DTD once!
This month we will hopefully have more action on the cards!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
