Morning all,

Hillstep - Sending you condolences.


Another wet day outside. Just got back from doing the Early Morning club at school. I love it! I only need to get up 20 mins earlier than I used to and the real bonus is I miss DH with the TV in the kitchen blaring, DS2's music and having to listen to them having a bicker on the way out the door. I go just as they are getting out of bed and by the time I am back the house is peaceful. Fabulous!

One lot of washing done and another in. Need to change the bed too.
Vaguely Morrocan chicken for dinner tonight.

Good Morning All

Another wet miserable day here but shouldn't moan as been looking at all the awful flood photo's

No outside work today so will be spending a little time in my office this morning then housework this afternoon. Was meant to be cooking fish pie for OH, DS & myself today but now have DD & her boyfriend coming for dinner who do not like fish so instead we are having chicken legs and pork chops with chips mushrooms and peas.

Nothing else exciting going on. Have got a busy weekend planned as work tomorrow and taking DD back to uni on Sunday so really need to get quite a bit done today......guess that means I should really stop surfing and get on :rotfl:

I'm late up today , I did wake early when dd1 phoned me on her way to cheerleading practice at 6.45 am :eek: but I fell back to sleep I didn't hear dd2 go off to school . I haven't been sleeping well because of this blimmin cold , so I must be catching up lol

Dd2 has a school trip next week and needs some new jeans , she finishes at lunchtime on a Friday so we will probably go looking this afternoon. I can have a look round for DHs birthday too , not a clue what to get him

Need to tidy up .and iron I seem to have got a back log . Piggies and cat are fed just need to feed me now

Hilstep - sorry about MIL, I hope everything goes well at the hospital.


I've got to wait in for a delivery today. I'm going a bit stir crazy because I've not seen anyone but DH all week and he has been late every day (tube strike the last two days). Last night he then spent about one and a half hours on the phone to DS and DD. It's his birthday tomorrow and DD is trying to organise something for us to do. I think they were trying to book theatre tickets without much success. It looks like DS might be working all weekend.


My iron stopped working yesterday so I'll have to dig out the big steamer until I can get out to buy a new one.

Back to normal today after yesterday's little drama - I don't know a lot of detail, but the host concerned ain't going to be hosting any more.:cool: Still, the dogs were ok at the end of it, and I was glad to be able to help.:o

It was gently raining when I took the washing out of the WM this morning, so I put it all on A-frames over the bath; sun's shining now, but you can bet your boots if I move it all outside, it'll rain again. I don't have the energy for the Washing Hokey Cokey, so it can stay where it is.:D

Dins tonight is the 2nd half of the lasagne I made last night; I need to think what to do for dessert, though.

We actually has sun for a couple of hours between the rain, I got quite giddy with excitement Looking grey out there again though.

Fuming at the GP surgery, as you know my optician is very concerned about my sight and asked for me to be referred to the hospital. I got a phone call this morning to say that I have to see the GP first before they can refer me :mad: So I have an appointment for next Friday, the day after I have an appointment at the hospital in London about my knees. I will ask her about my spinal referral as nothing heard about that either and see what she has to say about that :mad: DH used some very colourful language about it all :eek: and he doesn't normally swear!

Right I had better get some lunch

Jackie O - Happy Birthday and I know your lovely family will spoil you and well deserved too xx

Had a burst of energy:eek::eek::eek::eek: Well the weather has settled for now so head feeling better - I know there is worse to come and really feel for those poor people in Somerset and elsewhere.

So rest up now then out to have my eyes done. I know not MSE but everyone says I look a bit less deathly with them done! People can be very rude sometimes and my oldest and dearest friend (now EX) of 30 years told me she couldn't bear to look at me anymore so our friendship ended.

Anyway my doggies adore me and visa versa and Hubby thinks Im ok too so that will do xx
