Change to T&C's can I leave?
Hello, this my first post so I'm sorry if this question comes up a lot.
Basically my girlfriend is paying £35 / month for a Galaxy Ace 2, she is 18 months into a 24 month contract with Orange (Now EE). She gets only 400mins and only 500mb data on this plan, obviously the Ace 2 is a pretty archaic phone and she is paying way over the odds for it and the line rental. You can get iPhones with better plans for less than that!
She has also had so,e really bad customer service experiences with them, including advisors just hanging up on her for no good reason.
Today she received the following text:
"We're making some changes to the terms and conditions of your orange phone plan to give more clarity on the notification of price changes. For more detailed go to (not allowed to post links) the new terms will take effect on the 26th of March"
I have heard that any changes to the T&C's are grounds for cancellation of the contract at no fee, is this correct? I am really keen to help her out and get her onto a cheaper plan and hopefully a more up to date handset. We are both students so buying out the contract is probably not an option for us, although I have heard rival companies will buy you out if you switch to them???
Cheers guys, any help is much appreciated!

No you wont be able to cancel without penalty.0

Definitely won't cancel without charges. Although it is a change to terms, i think they are in your favour because they are adding in that there will be more clarity regarding price changes.
That doesn't mean they have actually changed the prices yet.
And yes, there are some places that will buy you out. You'd have to check with individual suppliers though.0 -
