No contract payg sim card

I have an unlocked Nokia 2630 which I use as a spare phone. This phone was on a no contract payg top up whenever I wanted basis - meaning there's no monthly restrictions on when I topped it up.
My problem is I've lost the sim card ! What I'm looking for is the same type of sim card to replace the one I've lost. Network doesn't really matter but I don't want Vodafone - reception where I live is awful.
Any help or advice would be appreciated

I think you can just send off to any of them for a free sim card.

Or you can buy one in the cheapy shops for 70p or so.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    GiffGaff - 10p a min and 6p a text - no expiry (uses O2)
    Asda - 8p a min and 4p a text - no expiry (uses EE)
Both are 2G networks and suit the Nokia 2630 and the only stipulation is that you make a call or send a text at least once in every six months.
Check your reception first, or you can order a free sim on their websites so you can try both.
Of the main providers Orange is the cheapest on the Racoon PAYG tariff but they charge 14p a min and 14p a text.
Network Three is not an option for you as you need a 2G network for that Nokia phone.

giffgaff sims will expire if you don't use them in 6 months - but that could include free events like receiving 4x calls.

"What happens if I don't use my Family Mobile number for three months?

If you don't use your Family Mobile number for three months, we will automatically close your account (in other words, close your SIM card number). You won't be able to make or receive any calls or text messages. However, we won't do this suddenly - we will have sent you emails before then reminding you that you have not used your number for a while.

What if you are on Family Budget and have a master account and some additional sub-accounts? If a sub-account has not been used for three months, we would close that account but the master account and other sub-accounts would not be affected. If the master account number has not been used for three months, this account would be closed but the sub-accounts linked to it would remain open. However, as sub-accounts cannot top-up their accounts, as they are controlled by the master account, when the balance on these sub-accounts drops to zero they would no longer be able to use their phone for outgoing calls or texts. They can continue to receive incoming calls.

You don't lose your phone number after three months. We will just block the SIM card and 'freeze' the phone number a further three months. If you have ported over your number, we will only be able to freeze the number for 1 month, then it will be returned to the orignal network provider. You can reactivate your account quickly and easily at any time. But you have to call Customer Services on 0843 523 5566 to request your account to be reactivated - you cannot do it online. It may take up to 1 week for your account to be reactivated and you can start using your phone again. You will need to turn your phone off and back on again to see when your account has been reactivated.

However, if you have not used your family number for six months, your mobile phone number will be recycled and made available to new customers."
