Hi Everyone,
so brief outline......
split 2years ago, ran a business together, shared working with child care (2 children 7 & 3)
i move back with mum and dad whilst i get sorted.
i said you have the house (about 70k equity) we draw a line and all is done.
shes now saying that i am liable for half of the business debts as i was a partner, i pointed out the equity in the house but she said that she paid the mortgage form her account, this happens to be the buniness account that we ran together
ok...to the point, i'm taking home just under 1000 a month, give her 200 for the children, take out my rent and other stuff i dont have a lot spare to seek lawyers advice....is there any place i can go? or can i get legal aid as i'm on a low income?
thanks

Citizens Advice Bureau is free. Are you already divorced? Or were you married at all?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

Still married. I was waiting for the 2 years so it would be cheaper0

Have you 'said' she gets the house or have you signed the paper work to this effect? It seems strange that it wouldn't all be sorted out in one go.
Are you officially a partner in the business? I don't know if that makes a difference really but it might help someone who does.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
