Got paid on26th thanks gd. Had letter 2 days later to tell me they were refunding me, waw!

So that was 58 days from the original post. Can the HMRC apologists explain whether in their views this was more down to:
1. Incompetence, or
2. Cynical and deliberate slow pay.
From the outside the two blur into one, but are both very common at all levels of HMRC it would appear.Hideous Muddles from Right Charlies0 -
Well they will not admit to fault, they do no wrong. But we live and learn. My bank will have it ready for next year. I wonder if they will wait 58 days for it.:D0
