Missing fuel points for Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

Has anyone else noticed that they are missing points from Tesco petrol stations?

The Clubcard credit card site states:

Tesco fuel - 5 Clubcard points for every £4 you spend (excludes Esso Fuel).

This breaks down to 1 point for every £1 you spend on fuel, plus an extra 1 point for every £4 you spend (as with all Clubcard credit card purchases).

However since September last year, I have only been receiving 1 points for every £2 I've spent, which is the rate for standard Clubcard customers. I still get the 1 point for every £4 spent as well.

I have been in touch with Tesco multiple times and each time they have apologised, credited me with the missing points and assured me that the problem has been fixed, but every time I fill up, I'm still short changed on points.

Has anyone noticed a similar issue? I'm trying to narrow down whether the problem is with my local petrol station, the Pay at Pump system, my individual Clubcard credit card account or a combination of the three.

If so, then it's possible that the points are being accrued by the clubcard instead of the clubcard credit card.

Apparently if you insert your Clubcard Credit Card and then say 'no' to the 'Do you want to pay with this card?' prompt, then take it out and re-insert it to pay as normal you will get the correct number of points - I've not tested this myself though as I don't pay with my Clubcard CC.
