Hi all
Just thought id check here before I try to make contact with HL. I'm trying to transfer my ISA from HL and it's asking for ISA sort code and account number. I cannot find these details in my account at HL, does anyone know how I can find it?
Thanks

A cash ISA might have a sort code and account number, but a S&S ISA would not. I suspect that your form is designed for a cash ISA transfer.
To whom are you transfering? Can you provide a link to the form?0 -
No I hold a Vantage SS ISA with HL but I also hold a Vantage Cash ISA with them too, they offer both although their Cash ISA is not great interest, but for various reasons at the time I needed to open one there. Now I want to transfer it to First Direct. Heres the form: http://www1.firstdirect.com/content_static/pdf/cash_isa_transfer_request.pdf0

By the way, in case it wasnt clear, I don't want to transfer the S&S ISA, just the cash one.0

That does make it much clearer, thanks.
If HL don't use sort-code and account number for their ISAs, I would leave those fields blank and give your HL client number in the reference field as "HL Cash ISA client number xxxxx". For peace of mind you could attach a note explaining exactly what you're trying to do, otherwise first direct might assume, as I did, that you're trying to move a S&S ISA.
Not all cash ISAs have sortcodes and account numbers. I faced a similar issue when I transferred an ISA from M&S to Santander.
The first direct form looks like it's designed to be printed first and then completed by hand - so you shouldn't have any difficulty with data validation, unlike Santander's customers who had to put dummy data in the sort/account fields.0 -
thanks, i think ill give it a go the way you said and hope that they understand what im trying to do. A covering note might be beneficial too.0
