Egg Card first offer

hello there

A few months ago, Barclaycard sent me a letter saying I may have been missold PPI. So I filled in the online questionairre and pretty much said "don't know" to everything because it was a long time ago and frankly I am a bit lazy

so to my surprise this week they accepted I had been missold it(!) and sent me a cheque for £110. Was just going to pay it in as I've just moved into a new house and any 'free' money will do.

however, done some googling and it appears a fair few people who have sent all kinds of stuff off to Barclays have been rejected. so I am wondering why they have given me something when I said "don't know" to everything. tried to Google my specific circs but can't find anything

so to my questions -

Should I reject the offer?
if the above is yes, what's the best course of action?

Any advice would be smashing

Thanks for reading

Only if you have evidence that you paid more than they are offering...
  • Nope. I have zero evidence.

Question is, do they have the proof of what I was reportedly missold as it is was about 8 years ago and an old company?

I don't know. I'm just speculating . 9 Times out of 10 I wouldn't query it but I felt like I should do more digging

    thanks for your reply

Probably not, but without proof of your own, you have no bargaining power either.
