Sky recordings - what happens when switching box?

Hi
I have finally upgraded my Sky+ box to a Sky+HD box. I just need to know now what happens when I switch the boxes over to all the stuff I have recorded on the old Sky+ box? Will it be wiped out or will it be transferred to the planner on the Sy+ HD box automatically? Asking as I will record to DVD the stuff that will get lost before I switch if its going to disappear.
Thanks in advance

Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

The recordings stay on the hard drive of your original box, they are not somehow transferred.0

Thanks. Can I then just plug in the old box to the tv in say the conservatory and watch the shows in there before clearing the recordings?

Not really my thing but I've seen the spec of the systems & I would have thought you'd need a feed and a valid cardChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

I think your card is paired with a particular box, so as soon as you pair it with the new one, the old one will stop working and you'll lose the recordings which are on it.0
