Thomson

We have just returned from a vacation to Dominican Republic having booked a package holiday through Thomson. Our return flight was delayed by 18 .5 hours due to the plane being grounded in Jamaica. A new plane was flown out but as the crew were not allowed to fly straight back (need 8 hours rest) we returned the day after we were supposed to. Thomson did pay for us to stay the additional night in our hotel, however we were put to considerable expense, kennel fees , taxi home etc. Are we entitled to compensation and if so how much should we be looking for?

You'd probably get a more positive response if (a) you had said 'please' or 'grateful for any assistance', (b) if you had posted on the existing thread for the airline and (c) if you had first tried the self-help approach using the huge amount of very useful information that exists on this forum already.

As you may have noticed I am new to this or any other forum and sorry if my etiquette is lacking. I thought, that those responding were supposed to be a help and not just condescending to new users. I assume you were new to the process once! However if there is anyone else who is able to help, I would be very grateful

Manners cost nothing, fortunately I am the most polite person on the forum.

Do read the FAQs on page one - everything you need to know is there.

    Are you doing a poll?

    Thanks for that
