Comps being duplicated on main board and in regs stickies

So I've noticed at least three main board/regular sticky dupes today, and I think this might happen for other reg comps...
A comp (FB or TW) that is run on a particular day each week - and has an on-going thread posted on the regs board sticky
I choose the example below just because it was easiest for me to find
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64604773&postcount=6
Was also posted as a new comp on main board:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4888676
I tend to have bookmarks saved for different dailies so that's where I update/enter from
So, my question is: should the comp be posted in the regs weeklies thread, or should it be posted on the main board first, by whoever spots it first, then just linked to the on-going regs thread for that particular comp?? It requires the poster on the main thread to check regs, and vice versa I suppose - too much hassle?!!
Some clarification would be appreciated

no it's no more hassle than just searching the main board, just use the search box at the top of all the comps boardsI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I don't even understand the question :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Oh yes I see now! Maybe the new comps are being added on the main board by compers who don't realise they have a weekly thread in the regulars part. To be honest, I am so confused lately - I thought it was agreed for the daily mags to cease being posted on the main, but apparently they will continue to be? I think I am losing my marbles
I feel lost now!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Thanks Glad - the problem is I don't think people generally run a search for these 'one-day' FB/TW comps (which so happen to be regular, reoccurring weeklies), so that's why we are ending up with two entries (dupes?) for one comp; one added to the main board and one in the relevant weeklies thread comp post.I don't even understand the question :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What I am asking is
If I spot a new comp - e.g. Joules #WinitWednesday (which, of course, reoccurs every Wed) - should I be posting it on the main board first then just add the link from my 'main board post' to the on-going post in the weeklies Joules thread?? Hope that makes it clearer

Ah, BlueBella :rotfl: it's very easy to lose your marbles around here! :rotfl:
You raise a good point - but I thought it is confirmed that the mag dailies are now permanently brought back to the main board and are then linked to the Mag Dailies thread in the regular comps section to make sure that everyone has access to these comps
So, along that vein, could there be quite a few on-going comps from the weeklies board that don't ever make it back to the main board Meanwhile there are some, like Joules #WinitWednesday, that end up being posted in both places.
There doesn't seem to be a clear protocol either way, and that's what I wanted an answer to  =^._.^= You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats =^._.^=0 -
As I understood it, all comps are posted on the main board and then whichever 'regulars' board is relevant is linked to that post.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Thanks for being understanding Biker*Chick ! I was confused about the dailies because the numerous discussions regarding them seemed to go round and round in circles and so I gave up attempting to keep up with them! I'm ok with them being posted on the main board and in their own sticky. I am easily adapted:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Yep, all comps need to be on the main board. Many, many times this had been discussed and this basic agreement has always been that all the comps get maximum exposure "Out there!"
I think sometimes people forget to update the comp in regs when they post & move on. I know I try and remember to mention it if I'm posting a regular comp on the main board, but no-one is infallibleWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Thanks Barnabysue and grannybiker - that's all I wanted to know :A
In future I'll make sure I post to main board first (if not already there) then add the link to the appropriate regulars thread=^._.^= You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats =^._.^=0 -
:DThanks for the explanation.:D
I find that if I leave the main comps board I get all disorientated  - too far into another board and I get a nosebleed :rotfl::rotfl:0
