Talk Talk - swapping contract from wife to me?

Options
My wife is currently contracted to Talk Talk for home phone and broadband and the contract ends in a few weeks.

Is there anything to stop me starting a new contract in my own name to immediately follow this? And if so, will I still be eligible to a new customer incentive such as quidco cashback or the £80 loveto shop voucher?

PS we do live together at the same address!

Her contract doesn't end, it reaches the end of it's minimum term-you still need to give 30 days notice to end it.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Ok so her minimum term ends on approx 28th Feb. If she gives notice now for say 8th March ending and I apply for a new account in my name to start on or after that date - will I be eligible for cashback?

Or will the cashback be voided?

I think this same question was asked a long time back but for contracts with Sky.

The answer, if I remember correctly, was that Sky recorded the account by the address, not the name of the customer. So, if the name of the account holder changed, it did not mean the new account would qualify for new-customer perks until there was a 12 month gap with no account being recorded.

I'm sure a similar condition will apply to TT, otherwise each time the account came up for renewal you could just swap the account holder name back and forth between husband and wife.

You'll also be subject to a broadband cease charge and then a reconnection charge, plus some downtime. The contract can't be 'swapped'-you will start a new one.
If you could do this, everyone would swap names back and forth every year.

Or just phone them and say i can get the service form Sky, Plusnet etc. For ££ can you match that.
