Suggestion for Smilies??

Hi,
Having to access the internet from my mobile, it's a nightmare getting the right browser. I'm on PAYG so only have a limited amount of data each month.
I've found a browser that is very fast, but the stupid thing won't disable 'animation' even though I've set it to. I've been to 'options' on here, and you can opt not to see avatas and sigs, and images, and I was hoping there might be an option to not see 'smilies', but not.
Is it possible to have an option to disable animation on the site? Seeing all those smilies dancing around literally gives me a headache.
