Not sure how much this is going to impact on each of the network's coverage roll out....

It won't really. Most of it is being kept separate.

But it'll allow EE and Three to accelerate their roll outs this year.

One thing I find very interesting (and isn't mentioned in that article) is that Three confirmed that 138 petabytes of data were used through it's network last year. That's around 5GB per second. It's also 41% of the total amount of mobile data used in the UK across all networks.

That's a massive share and hopefully these investments will allow Three to maintain and manage that amount of data going through the network without mass congestion.

Three have been dragging their heels on 4G for ages. Hopefully this lets them get into more cities.
