Norwegian Spirit Europe crusie - any tips please?

I'm going on a last minute cruise on the Norwegian Spirit to Europe, starting in Barcelona, going to Casablanca and the canary Islands.


Any tips for this ship please? It seems to have mixed reviews and I'm not a fan of cruising so anything that will make it easier for me would be most appreciated!!

If its your first cruise you will definitely enjoy, don't listen to the people who write reviews, most have an axe to grind. At least the food will be better than any AI hotel on mainland Spain. Drinks are expensive, so limit your consumption and enjoy the ports of calls. Avoid the ships tours again are overly expensive. Suggest you look on the CruiseCritics Forum and join the Roll Call for your ship before you depart, many people arrange tours independently and are a great way to make friends.


Cruises are great value for money, NCL are not the best but are definitely better than Thomson. The ship is a great size, easy to get around, much better IMHO than the large more modern boats. It is about 15 year old but still in good shape and has a great promenade deck.


I am sure with an open mind you will have a fabulous time, bon voyage!
