no booking reference

EU delay are handling my claim, we are now at a stage where it will prob go to court but I have been asked to supply the booking ref no or it can go no further. I have flight details time, flight number etc, I can say who I booked with and flights were with Thomas Cook. Booking agent said to contact Thomas cook for ref I emailed but no response but why would they give me it!!? Legally do they have to give me it, argh!
any advice!

Did you book it as the travel agents? You can see if it's on the system. You can always say you need it for an insurance claim. Or make an SAR request of TC to find what personal data they hold on you.
