  • Hi everyone, beautiful blue skies today, but now it's raining.

    Today's list:
    NSD
    Took HM soup for lunch
Managed to find some high quality paper in my paper drawer to print DD's party invitations, not quite card, but it will do
    Checked bank
Packaged up eBay item to send tomorrow
    Transferred PayPal balance to bank
Signed up to free postcode lottery after seeing on this thread a few times
Made packed lunches for tomorrow (still got HM soup for me, it may last the full week)
    Washing on radiators to dry
Filled a bottle of water using my Brita filter to take to work tomorrow (I used to just buy bottles every week)

    Bye for now!

  • Evening all,

What a day, so glad it's almost over. Some small DFW things for me today.

Checked banking - all in order
    Did some surveys
Met a friend for coffee - paid for by her
Called into friends mother to take loan of her mannequin - reading up on ebay sales, the better the item looks the more chance of selling & selling well. Mission now is to list items.
Hubby just informed me he's gone that extra mile in terms of saving money - he's taken the loo roll home from the portaloo at his work, no one uses this loo so he took it home lol!! Is now telling me they have some super absorbent kitchen roll too which would do well in our house seeing as we have two wee boys and are constantly wiping spillages. I just nod & agree lol
Hubby has lunches made for tomorrow.
    Meal this eve from stores
No electric blanket on tonight :(
Clothes on radiators to finish off once the heating kicks in before bed & early morning.

That's all from me. After a desperate day at work with a bunch of men with no balls between them but pay packets that would make me feel like a millionaire, I'm off to bed to recoup to do it all over again tomorrow. :)
New Year New Motto - I will be debt free

    Nationwide loan £12,000/£12,500,RBS CC £0/ £1200 int free,[STRIKE]RBS 2 CC [STRIKE]£0/£541,[/STRIKE]Next card £0/£360 [/STRIKE]TOTAL £12000/£14,601
  • No spending today at all.

  • My list today:
    • Deliver thank you note for our evening at the weekend
    • Ironing. There is a mountain! Some of it is bedding for next lot of guests - be nice to be ahead of myself for once! DID BEDDING - 1 basket of clothes still to go!
    • Tidy loft - roof man on way for quote. Hooray. The power of picking up the phone and getting a good recommendation! Loft tidy. Have retrieved 3 boxes either to list or charity shop.
    • Sort out books (to buyback site or charity) Gave some to friend who called round
    • Meal plan.
    • HM soup from stores for me and DD tonight, plus another Sherlock episode on the loaned DVD if she doesn't go to athletics (with this weather, I doubt she'll go). I think it is only the athletics that will break my NSD...hopefully. Although if it does get broken, I want to pick some yeast up - found bread flour in the cupboard, planning to give it a go! Broke the NSD so she could stock up on milk and juice at Aldi. No athletics. Sherlocks on! Leftovers feel like a feast!
    • Hospital for results, but lifts there and back so no parking! DONE
    • check banking
      DONE
    • review house insurance MUST DO THURS
    • tidy bureau and bags - have lost my spare house key so had to give guest mine (somewhat anchoring me to the house until DD comes back!). Need to find rather than get a new one cut, hopefully. MUST DO WED
    • Look into accommodation for holiday - sharing with a friend, and staying at low cost places. We just agreed to move half the holiday out of the capital city to lovely spot - where everything is also likely to be a little cheaper :) MUST DO THURS
    • swagbucks (personal target is get total past 450 today HIT 493) and adpoints Didnt touch(be nice just to hit the 250 mark there while I'm at home!)
    • I'm also going to research the other survey sites people mentioned yesterday and I'd like to find out a bit about mystery shopping too :)Signed up for MySurvey after hearing folk on another board talking about it - and qualify for a £3 payout already - I like the small increments
    • Freepostcodelottery - reminded by ziggy, thank you :)

Not too bad then, considering! DD made biscuits for lunch and I half emptied the loft. Roof man says its mainly insulation we need to prevent condensation building up. Bit of research required tomorrow to see if we qualify for any help if there are still deals out there. Very excited to discover an item sold on Buy It Now on Ebay tonight - something I barely bothered listing, but am delighted it is going to a new home, sold for £12 :j
