When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending :money:

- Print meal plan while at work (have no ink in my printer at home at present)
- Print something's ing for DS1's homework (as above)

Morning all
So far I have had a coffee, put washing machine on and checked on MSE benefits board to see if we are missing out = nothing ;0( not entitled to anything.Oh well!
I have been on the computer awhile this morning so off we go...
Put x7 new books on kindle via Dailyfreebooks
Read the Mail newspaper online
Checked bank account. It is shrinking as I have only bought one thing. = £2.35 of material for patchwork from fleabay. To match some material I have and make a pattern.
Tried Swag bucks again! I did the daily pole and x1 survey. What does everyone else do? There seems lots of options.
Done a few surveys with a little success. Some get cancelled half way and say you are not suitable any more
.
Signed up to Alba Science to hopefully be offered some trials.
Postie has been with a freebie = Kerastase shampoo and conditioner x1 sachet of each.
Supermarket shopping later. After 4pm.
Ink talk - I quite agree ink for the computer is expensive. I now buy remanufactured refills. It does the same job.
I have a 3 in 1 HP printer, scanner photocopier machine. It will also print photo's.
The last lot of ink cost £18.95 for x2 black and x1 colour. It will last a few months. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Morning all, thanks LPS for starting us off. Here I am just coming too, and your half way through your shift at work! Ikesmummy - hope your walk in the rain was...refreshing. I am ridiculously excited to have splurged last week on ink for the printer at home after several months run out - so many bits need printing now, don't they - homework, ebay labels etc - it was getting stressful having to always find workarounds! But gosh - the price of ink!
My list today:
- Deliver thank you note for our evening at the weekend
- Ironing. There is a mountain! Some of it is bedding for next lot of guests - be nice to be ahead of myself for once! DID BEDDING - 1 basket of clothes still to go!
- Tidy loft - roof man on way for quote. Hooray. The power of picking up the phone and getting a good recommendation! Loft tidy. Have retrieved 3 boxes either to list or charity shop.
- Sort out books (to buyback site or charity) Gave some to friend who called round
- Meal plan.
- HM soup from stores for me and DD tonight, plus another Sherlock episode on the loaned DVD if she doesn't go to athletics (with this weather, I doubt she'll go). I think it is only the athletics that will break my NSD...hopefully. Although if it does get broken, I want to pick some yeast up - found bread flour in the cupboard, planning to give it a go! Broke the NSD so she could stock up on milk and juice at Aldi. No athletics. Sherlocks on! Leftovers feel like a feast!
- Hospital for results, but lifts there and back so no parking! DONE
- check banking
DONE - review house insurance MUST DO THURS
- tidy bureau and bags - have lost my spare house key so had to give guest mine (somewhat anchoring me to the house until DD comes back!). Need to find rather than get a new one cut, hopefully. MUST DO WED
- Look into accommodation for holiday - sharing with a friend, and staying at low cost places. We just agreed to move half the holiday out of the capital city to lovely spot - where everything is also likely to be a little cheaper
MUST DO THURS - swagbucks (personal target is get total past 450 today HIT 493) and adpoints Didnt touch(be nice just to hit the 250 mark there while I'm at home!)
- I'm also going to research the other survey sites people mentioned yesterday and I'd like to find out a bit about mystery shopping too
Signed up for MySurvey after hearing folk on another board talking about it - and qualify for a £3 payout already - I like the small increments - Freepostcodelottery - reminded by ziggy, thank you

Good morning fellow DFW'rs. Another day at home for us, and planning for it to be a no spend day.
-Meals from stores, and coffee at home
-Do some Swagbucking (although I find this so much more time consuming than it used to be)
-Nectar Adpoints
-Photograph and list some of DS2's old pyjamas and vests on local selling site- he is a giant toddler so lots of his stuff has barely been worn before he has grown out of it.
-Set up grocery challenge spreadsheet (currently just a page in notebook)
-Shame myself by looking at online banking and seeing grocery spend last month
-Go for a swim in MIL's pool- it is far less glamourous than it sounds, but is free and will keep the boys entertained this afternoon
-Pick up free pack of nappies from Freecycle
-Attempt meal plan for the whole of February (don't expect to finish this today, but it will be good to get next week planned):DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Completley agree. I made the mistake of buying a kidak 2 in 1, it prints & photocopies. It is useless. It runs out of ink after printing about 30 pages of anything. Have also found that after buying & fitting new cartridges they run out in about 2 seconds too, or have never been full in my opinion, but how do you go about raising that one with the ink company! We are always running out, & then I get DH to print at work. Bad but necessary sometimes.
adpoints (be nice just to hit the 250 mark there while I'm at home!)
I am newish to Adpoints. I have struggled to get above 100 points a week though, there never seems to be that many new ads to watch, am I missing a trick??

Hi All
Hope everyones well. Things I am doing/have done.
1) Petrol from a cheap garage. Also reclaimed the loyalty points I had missed last time I got petrol. Morrisons give you a free £5 voucher when you hit a certain point, I reckon Im about 6 fill ups away. Exciting!
2) Packed lunches for the guys.
3) Box of value tea from Sainsburys 27p.
4) Popped into the bank for a read out. Came home checked personal account & reconcilled all payments.
5) Checked Adpoints - Nothing to do it seems? I always go to latest ads, but nothing has points. Is that the same for everyone or am I doing it wrong?
6) Transfered child benefit across to main account.
7) Greasy Palm daily clicks done.
8) Dinner planned for tonight - lamb stew
9) Swimming lessons today for Little man, have all that packed, & snacks for after.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Bob... I am new to it too. Perhaps the ads dry up after a while? I notice some that we watched a few times last week have gone to zero now, understandably. I hit 250 last week but didn't get them all credited so am raising a query to find out why. I had a secret weapon - DD did most of them for me! We don't have a TV connection or aerial so adverts are a novelty for her, and the trigger thing was a bit of fun too. I doubt she'll stay interested for long!0
