HL Vantage Fund & Share Account to ISA Shares

I've got about £800 worth of shares in a HL Vantage Fund & Share Account, I've had it for about a year, I get the idea of shares now and want to start looking into strategies to build my portfolio - to hopefully pay off my student debt quicker! I haven't read the detail, but it's seeming more sensible I place this amount in a ISA Stocks & Shares Account. But I hear HL have changed their charges, maybe it's time to jump ship?

The charges for holding shares (assuming you aren't investing in investment trusts) are staying the same. There are only the new account closure fee and cash transfer fee to be concerned about.
In any case, HL are expensive if you are only interested in holding shares. You should look into alternatives, such as X-O and SVS Securities, which have lower dealing charges and won't charge you holding fees.0 -
Thanks masonic. I do like H&L research, but I only do Stocks & Shares. SVS appear to have some research too, so will take a look.Student loan: Cleared.0
