Please bear in mind we are only volunteers to help the board run smoothly. Old style is pretty generic and 99 percent of times, a question has already been asked before. Old style is incredibly busy and merging threads keeps similar posts together.
If you ever have concern or issue on how a thread is merged or moved, then feel free to contact the forum team.
I would have merged it into the same thread as I read your initial post as a one pot wonder post.

I have a few "go to" recipes for wilted items or leftovers
: Curry
: Spanish Omlette aka frittata aka tortilla aka crustless quiche.
: Savoury mince aka bolognaise.
: Pie/pasty filling.
: Blended soup.
: Pasta sauce.
: Stew with a bit of meat and dumplings.
: Bubble and squeak, with or without breadcrumbs.0 -
Cawl. Traditional Welsh Stew. the only 'must haves' are Onions and Carrots.
The meat is traditionally lamb or mutton - but, use beef if you have it.
The way to do Cawl is to make it the day before or at least 8 hours before you want to serve it.
brown the meat, add the onion and carrot - then any other veg you want. root veg is traditional but I find celery a good addition. so are leeks.
add water to an inch or so above the meat and veg, and season generously. bring up to boil then immediately turn down to simmer. you can put lid on or leave off - lol, bit of controversy in Nans house as she put lid on, but Granch said lid should be off!
now leave it alone all day!
if poss leave it till next day to warm up and serve - and its improved by simmering all day too!0 -

Chicken and chorizo bake with whatever veggies are left at end of week, normally an onion, half a courgette, a pepper, some sweet potato, shrivelled mushrooms etc.
Or a veggie stir fry, all shrivelled about to turn veggies, ie broccoli, courgettes, beans, mushrooms, spring onions , ham and half pot creme Fraiche stirred through, served with pasta.
Both always go down a treAt.0
