Rising....sorry for spilling your alias!
GR......you have a) lied to me
b) called me a cat hoarder
Hmm, will have to think up some awful punishment for you next time I come over!
Meritaten.
Once upon a time I had 4 cats who all used the garden and I never bought cat litter at all (or spent my days discussing it online! )
Now, those days have gone. I have been forced to accept that what seems like ridiculously over priced litter IS actually better than what I can buy in the supermarket.
For example.....I spent £4 on a small bag of Sainsburys Ultra Clumping which looks quite similar to the legendary GG. That bag was not enough to properly fill the tray and barely lasted a week, whereas the £9 bag of GG fills deep enough to clump well and is still going strong 3 weeks later.0 -

How much does your litter cost weekly/monthly? Less than £5.00 per month or £1.25 per week?:D
Mia's tray has GG in it - 1 bag to fill tray & 2nd bag will do top ups for 4 months
£20 over 4 months is £5 / month .... not £5 / week
I ended up doing a full tray change at 3 months (as felt I should) but then felt like I was throwing still perfectly good litter out
- it still looked good, smelled fine & clumped brilliantly
This tray, I will be leaving an extra month if it still looks as good
Archie's tray has BK in - again 1 bag to fill & 2nd bag will last around 3 months for top ups BUT it def doesn't last as long:(
The GG in Mia's tray - at 3 months - both smelled & looked much better than the BK that's been in Archie's tray for only 6 weeks
I ended up doing a 1/2 tray change for him then ......
I (sadly - and can't believe I'm saying that
) still have 4 bags of the BK left
Bit undecided as have 2 bags in the emergency store (and 2 GG) so I guess I could put all 4 in the emergency store & switch to GG now BUT I think I want to use it up & then only use GGGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Umph!
Believe me - if you lived in the sticks, where the nearest bus stop is over a mile away & you get snowed in & can't get ANY deliveries of ANYTHING for 6 WEEKS and have to lug cat litter from the sm to the bus & all the way home (as well as cat food, dog food & human food etc etc) it turns you into a hoarder ..... and not just cat litter;)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I am scared of Macius too - you not the only one.
He can turn from a loving purring fluffball into a killer cat with no warning and in 2 seconds flat.
Wobbly as usual, no brain at all, nothing really between those 2 little ears but - he is MY kitty and love him to bits.
Even when he lands butt first in the only tea cup on a big empty otherwise table when he jumps. How he does it - I will never know... etc etc.. sigh....
This kind of rings a bell 9or 100 bells) when I look at Macius:

His coordination is almost non existent - but it does not worry HIM in the slightest0
