Loot Email Pen Pal Scam?

Options
I have advertised a TV Recorder on Loot.
I have received an Email asking to buy the item stating they are in a wheelchair so would have someone to collect.
They have asked to pay through Paypal and are asking for my address and details of my Paypal Account(I do not have one and have never sold anything previously)
Is this a scam?
Thanks.

Why would it be a scam? They need your address to be able to collect it. Did you specify a payment method in your ad? Just email them back and tell them you don't use PayPal, its cash on collection only.

If they are local, say you will deliver and accept payment in cash on delivery.

Email worded "Deaf on a wheelchair" which seemed strange and stated that Agent would collect.

Not strange at all, ask them to send the agent with the cash or you deliver

I disagree with the above responses- yes this is definitely a scam.

The paypal on collection scam should be known to anyone that uses paypal, so people really need to read up on seller protection. Tell them anyone can collect if they bring cash or pay by bank transfer in advance , otherwise no way.

How can you disagree with the above responses? Did you read them? There are only three responses all of which say take cash on delivery and none of them advocate paypal as a payment method in this scenario.

The fact that no one sees this as a scam. As the Op states, now he has mentioned cash and buyer has gone quiet I think I was right.

Spoken to Loot and they say.
Beware of anyone who asks you to remove your ad before you have completed, will give only an Email and no indication of where they live and use English that is phrased incorrectly.
    Yes to all 3 !!!!!!!!!!!
