I seem to have read in the papers that Santander has poor customer service and poor systems
I can bear testament to this now. I thought it was particularly poor to not get an email to even confirm that the application had been submitted or any reference numbers etc. No email updates as to how the application was progressing etc.
And you are positively discouraged from calling the call centre as they state very clearly that if you have applied online that they won't be able to see it (however, they only tell you this at the end of the application so you can't make an informed decision about how you want to apply beforehand!).I am a Mortgage Adviser.You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
