You could just refuse to take the parcel in. The reasone they do it is that so many people take in parcels for a neighbour then deny it and keep the items themselves or sell them on. This way he can show the exact house it went to in case of any dispute.0

I think it's an excellent idea, especially when you read on these forums how many people don't receive their packages & the neighbour who is said to have taken the package in denies ever doing so.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Becoming increasingly common, sadly because sometime a false name is used that the recipient has no clue, the photo of the door gives some corroboration if a query is made.0

But a picture of your door does'nt prove anything.0 -
It proves that they were there, granted that the picture could have been taken at any time, however on the balance of probabilities it would prove it.0

It helps prove the driver delivered there.
Did you sign a hand held thingy? They usually have inbuilt GPS now which proves (within a few metres) where it was signed, but if not, it's possible the van has GPS and a picture of your door helps cover the driver if the date and time all match up.
There's a lot of scammers out there, some of 'em are worse than bankers . . .0 -
