Easy jet flight delayed by 6 hours blamed on radar can i receive compensation?

Hi All,
We recently took a flight from Edinburgh to London that was delayed by 6 hours! When we complained about this we received this response from EasyJet:
Thank you for contacting us.
I apologise for the inconvenience you experienced due to the delayed flight. Having checked with the technical service team I confirm that the delay was due to weather radar fault. In order to avoid flight cancellation and overnight delay an arrangement was made for another flight to operate on reverse route.
Sometimes there are unforeseen conditions which cannot be controlled by us inspite of taking all the preventive measures. Since this delay is termed as extraordinary delay, I am sorry that we are unable to provide you any compensation.
Reading the article on the main website would lead me to believe this is an airline fault. Should i pursue this for compensation ??
Thanks in advance
Ross

I think there is no chance of getting any compensation as they will prove that the delay is not from there side and it was not there fault. So i don't think you should file a compensation request unless you have something against them.0

If the fault is with the airport's weather radar equipment, then yes. But if it is the weather radar on the plane - and that this is ordinary technical failure - then I think your advice is misplaced, peterwayne.0
