Morning all,
Its quite nice here at the mo,there was a lovely sunrisebut meant to be bad later.I think I'll do my longer walk with the pup early, and a quicker one later because they are picking the car up to have a new door on after some *!!* booted it in .Not sure how long it'll be away but they are dropping a courtesy car off at the same time, nice one toyota. Also having a dog food delivery today but thats usually later in the day.
I need a good tidy up today, tends to get messy if DGD has been :rotfl:
DH got home about 2.30 after being called to work yesterday so not too bad.My DB1 & Sil called to bring cards for DS1 and DH as they have birthdays coming up,it was the only chance they'll get now as they are off to Australia for 3 weeks at the weekend, lucky things.
Tea tonight is leftover chicken from yesterday.I might make a cake this afternoon for DS birthday tomorrow, though if he smells it cooking he'll want to dig in today
Hope you all have lovely days whatever you are doing x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning All
Lovely and sunny in Hastings, but windy. Been across the road already to get fruit, milk, bread and eggs. We have a lovely parade of shops there, really useful for me.
MIL is still here. She hasn't moved at all. OH and DSS are worn out, but it's just a case of waiting.:A
I spent the weekend watching Rugby and tidying drawers that didn't need it.
Will have a look in the vreezer soon for tonight's dinner.
((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need them.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

I'm an auntie :jHe arrived yesterday, just before 11am. I'm trying not be one of those annoying people who turn up as soon as the baby is home from hospital but it's really hard
Also this cold is still hanging on, I don't want to pass it on. I'll give them a ring later and arrange to go round in the next couple of days. I have a couple of photos of him on the laptop, I keep opening them and staring at him

I have the dentist this afternoon so that'll keep my mind off him for about half an hour :rotfl:
I've sown a few seeds in trays, they're in the way on the kitchen table at the moment so I'll have to find somewhere to put them.
I've written a shopping list for craft supplies, will do an order in a mo. I've also worked out roughly how long each item will take to make.
Beef, onions and mushrooms have been thrown in the slow cooker, the kitchen smells fab alreadyI'll add veg later, when I've decided what I actually want

Lots to do so I must go, have a good day.Bulletproof0 -
Morning all,
windy to say the least here and exciting pictures of high water and spray on the local news. Fortunately, it seems that anything that was going to blow about has already done so, so no damage around the street.
DH was poorly yesterday - took a dizzy turn which might be related to his diabetes, so he is at the GP this morning. He was told by a medically qualified friend to phone the out of hours service given his heart situation, but he wouldn't.... What can you do with him?
Today I shall be doing more of the same pen pushing - over half way now! - and trying to decide what to have for dinner as it is a SW green day.
Stay warm XI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Congrats Tru!
Monday again already! and I'm working the next 2 Saturdays. Off to the cinema tonight I think, using our discount cards so we get our tickets for £5 each, which makes it a cheap night out.
Lots going on right now, none of which I can post about just yet which is frustrating!
Got an exam on Monday so I have a week of cramming to fit around EVERYTHING.0 -
Congratulations Tru :j Really good idea to give the new parents a bit of space as well.
DH drove me to butchers to get meat pack for the week and a small sack of potatoes. Beds are stripped, dishes done and a pot of home made soup simmering.
Planning on an easy chicken and veg bake for tonight from the HB cookbook.
Went to allidees on Saturday and it was so busy we could not get parked and DH got really fed up with it. If I can check the laptop later for new sites we might be able to find somewhere less busy next time.
Going to heat up sunday lunch for DH and DD while I have soup.
See you later."This site is addictive!"

Hi everyone,
Back home for this week and lots to sort out and do. I must try and prioritise things properly. All I really want to do is some sewing but that will have to wait.
TTFTM, hope you are ok today, I know I really felt it on dad's birthday last year. I can't help thinking that this time last week mum was still with us.0 -
Congratulations Auntie Tru
Luxor (((HUGS))) I hope Mr Luxor is ok; it's frustrating when they won't do the logical thing for their health, isn't it? (Mind you, I'm a fine one to talk, as I have a major aversion to medical bods).Went to allidees on Saturday and it was so busy we could not get parked and DH got really fed up with it. If I can check the laptop later for new sites we might be able to find somewhere less busy next time.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Congratulations tru! Hope mum and baby are doing well.
Just in from work, it's been quite a nice day till I was on the way home and it is now raining and a little breezy. Still, I will catch up on the ironing and then varnish the chair again (forgot last night).
Take care. XX0 -
Hello all,
I'm struggling to post every day, I'm reading though, the black dog is well and truly here, I'm struggling to get out of bed never mind anything else:(
Think the operation and everything that goes with it has got on top of me.
I will keep popping in until I'm feeling myself.
Congratulations Tru xxStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
