I have inherited my dad's Packard bell computer and omg it is so slow. I am trying to uninstall programmes etc but I am losing the will to live

Depends how much you want to spend. New processor and extra memory will increase the speed but you may also need a new mother board and power supply. I upgraded my last desktop but the cost was more than buying a new base unit would have been. You could try carrying out a scan using Malaware bytes or similar or removing unwanted software as this may give you extra speed. I expect someone with greater IT skills than mine will be along soon with better advice.0

Does this thing have a model number? Perhaps on the back plate.
Some more RAM and a Factory Restore/Clean install will likely speed it up beyond recognition. £20 max.0 -

It's ok, especially as you might run a Factory Restore later anyway. Of course you could just look at the back and get the serial number for yourself.....0
