the halifax has wrote to me to state they are taking my 980 overdraft away from me on the 10th of this month, i know they can do this but i just dont have 980 quid lying about otherwise i would not need an overdraft if i did. they said worse case is it goes to collections, the agent i spoke to could not understand as he said my credit is good with them, but could be just a case of calling them on the day the overdraft is removed and agreeing a new limit with the lending team. i have already opened an account with another bank as a back up, also i am canceling my direct debits with the halifax only have the two. So if it does come to me leaving the halifax and it goes to collections do they put a freeze on overdraft charges if i am leaving them and i am on a payment plan to clear the overdraft i owe. i know it will mess up my credit rating but i may have no choice as the bank are placing me in that position i am just trying to keep all options open to me. to make matters worse my wife has just given birth to twins talk about bad timing lol yer could not make it up. any ideas most welcome, and to think the loyds group had an issue with peeps being able to withdraw money and make transactions the other day, makes yer think is something more going on behind the scenes ?????:lipsrseal
