    Just don't buy online then...

The prices online are usually lower than the in store prices.

Those mens Slazenger t shirts were over £5 each or 2 for £8 instore on Monday but still £1.29 each online yesterday.

I've been ordering from SD for years now, and have had one problem in all of those years. P&P is expensive, but the online store is usually cheaper than instore.
What I do now is take a screen shot of the item and price of what I'm ordering as I ordered a number of items last summer on one of their deal of the days and was charged normal price. However it was all sorted out quickly.

And also if I've ever needed to return something I always bring it back to store and get a refund. SO if they don't do this now, it's news to me.

I too don't think that they ever refund anything (even with online purchases). They only exchange or put it on a giftcard.
  • there was a voucher in The Sun this week to get these offers in store, went along and got 7 polos, btw the £1.29 polo is the old style without the stripes on the collar, they say plain on the tag.

  • Bought instore - price clearly stated on label. However when paying at the till was informed abruptly and aggressively by cashier that price was wrong and she immediately pulled sticky ticket off label and told me that this was the correct price. And it was a higher price! What was stated on the computer by scanning the barcode was the correct price NOT the one on the ticket.
Complained to Head Office - evidently they can do this with their pricing.
Where do I stand consumer wise?

Well you can complain if you like. However, retaillers are able to state that the item is priced incorrectly, remove it from shelves for 24 hours and place it back out at the correct price.

In terms of how the cashier treated you, then definitely worth mentioning it, had the issue been dealt with using more decorum, your complaint may not have arisen at all!

Well they refunded me for my returned item but not the postage which they are obliged to do under Distance Selling Regulations and the refunds policy. So email request went off this morning.

    Not impressed :(
