Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper Xmas Saver!
    call them and ask
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • i have a theory regarding (very clever) structured emergency credit and standing charge debt repayment. if true, points towards debt recovery set up to increase debt and lessen product consumption.......i will post my theory exactly, however it is based on average credit purchases....so would all posters include how much £ they add and approx how often. me £10 1-2 weeks

Why would it matter? If the emergency credit is cleared by a payment then the standing charge arrears would just take up the rest. I don't think it would alter only having access to 30% of a top-up until the whole lot is cleared.

I would assume it is not structured - it would just pay off the emergency credit until it is repaid and only then is the balance used for standing charges. Is it a moot question - emergency credit is only £5 - can you even still buy top-ups of only £5?

Charmed, I'm sure. Can't imagine why your correspondents don't always provide you with answers to your enquiries.
  • example.
gas has been off for a few days
    £10 credit bought

    £3.00 for gas
£2.42 for standing charge debt (accrued while off)
    £4.58 for emergency credit

    standing charge debt still outstanding
    emergency still showing as used
