Go to the jobcentre and see if they are offering workwise in your area, it's 8 weeks worth of public transport costs ie bus/train/ metro. It's not funded through the jobcentre but by the travel companies so usually wp customers are still eligible.

Sorry workwise cannot be accessed if customers are on WP. This is because WP poviders are, in the fee for the customer getting into work, an amount is included to assit the customer with barriers into work, WP providers are just being greedy and never passing this money on to the jobseekers.
  • hmm i have a question regarding this now, i signed whatever it was to be referred at the job centre onto the work programme. i moved less than a month later 200 miles away. WP contact me until 3 weeks later after i moved. i only had ONE telephone appointment but that was at my request and just for me to ask a single question which they were useless on as i was told JC couldn't help once you are part of wp. i had NOT provided any information to a4e directly when i found a job MYSELF -not one second of help from WP or JC.

Does this mean that a4e got paid anyway, they kept sending me forms to fill in I REFUSED to sign anything sent directly from them because they DID not help me and i had to demand they contact me?

    how long ago was this?

as I understand it, they get paid in stages, to get the full amount they have to prove you are in employemnt for 6 months, so they may get the first paymet for you signing off but not the 6 months one.

We issue workwise at my jcp to wp customers, we never used to but had Centro in a month ago who said it was fine as its a completely separate funding avenue.

Funny how this differs from each area, our specifically states not available to WP customers and until April only JSA customers within specific postcodes, from April all JSA non WP customers will be eligble for day savers for interviews and 8 weeks travel passes if signing off to start work.
