I've been out of work for a year, I have emailed the employer a few times asking about pay dates etc, they will also have to put up with the WP ringing them to check I'm there so they can get their fee, I don't really want to have to ask my employer for money on day one, they could turn around a sack me, as I must being coming across as too much effort and only concerned about money.
If you have been out of work only a year how long have you been at the WP?

I mean to say they had helped me into this job.
No you don't have to say they have helped you if you signed the consent form they will get paid as they then have the right to contact the employer to confirm you work there.

    a couple of months.

so out of work for a year and a bit, my point was, it was good of the employer to take a risk on me as it can be hard to find a job when out of work for so long, a lot of employers would have not even hired me.

So you singed it giving them consent?

If you did they will confirm with the JC where you are working then contact the employer to confirm getting the employer to probably fill in a form or two etc and remain in contact till their payment comes in

IF you have signed the consent form say you are withdrawing consent and take a letter and hand it in and also email a copy to the head office and post one too and say (not in the letter) that you want a travel permit for the 1st month of here is the letter

I'm not sure if it's correct or not but someone posted an email showing they didn't been the claimants permission to ask an employer, but I will make sure to let my employer know he doesn't need to help them on my behalf ;)

They do need consent to contact the employer and its the consent form but if someone else says different go with what they say.

it's a bit upsetting really, I was excited at finding a job but then for the WP to turn around and make such a derisory offer of help, has taken the shine of it.

I was going to email them and get this daft offer in writing to see if I could make a complaint but tbh I just want to put the WP behind me and consentrate on making the job work, if they get their 30 bits of silver then I hope they enjoy them...not.

I feel you should do everything you can to stop them getting anything UNLESS they made the employer interview you and found the job advertised or had contact with the employer etc.
