Toad in the hole :) We use frozen sausages as you can get a bag of 20 for £1, bit of flour, an egg and some milk and water, sorted! If I somehow became a millionaire I would still cook this all the time.

There was a dish I made on here a couple of times. It involved alternate layers of onion, potato, cheese sauce, and bacon, topped off with cheese, and baked in the oven.

Its on here somewhere, but I can't find it.

Otherwise, just a tuna/tomato pasta type dish.
    Was it this one: http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=5417982&postcount=103

tuna and sweetcorn fritters - tin of tuna, defrosted/canned sweetcorn, egg, flour bit of milk, add grated cheese if you have it. Mix well, shallow fry dollops - made this once in a 'haven't been shopping - got nothing in' kind of panic and my son now begs for this regularly.

    You are a genius!

I make sweetcorn fritters quite often but never thought of adding tuna - that would be a huge hit in this house and more popular than fishcakes - dh doesn't like mash. That is on the menu this week:D

Its got to be scrambled egg on toast. There's always eggs in the fridge. I had some the other day and it tastes great if you haven't had it for a while.

    Rubber chicken pasta

whatever meat you've got left off a roast chuck
bit of wilty or frozen broccoli
    pasta
    an onion
    flour
    milk
bit of cheese on the top if you've got it

Boil the pasta, and chuck in the broccoli when the pasta's half done. Soften the onion in a bit of oil, then add a tbsp or so of flour. Add milk gradually to make a sort of oniony white sauce. Season (important or it tastes like floury milk!), add the chicken to warm through then mix in the pasta and broccoli, top with cheese if you have it. Works with sweetcorn too. Found the recipe somewhere on here a while ago and it's a fave here now. OH doesn't like the brown meat from the bird, but he'll eat it in this :j
