London Excel baby show?

Hi, sorry if posting this in the wrong place. I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my second and was thinking of going to the baby and toddler show at the excel in london.
Getting there will cost as i live at the bottom of the south east, and i wanted to know if anyones been and if it's actually worth it? I've heard they offer special deals too which you won't get anywhere else. I'm hoping to go in feb with my sister-in-law whose also due around the same time as me, so i don't want it to be a wasted trip!
Any info and advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

I went two years ago, and whether or not it's 'worth' it would depend entirely on what you're after. If, for you, it's all about the offers and deals, then I'd say it probably isn't worth it if getting there is going to cost you. Yes, there will be some good ones, but you'll probably be able to find equally good deals online and/or by shopping around - at 14 weeks, you've got plenty of time to find what you're after.
For me, it was worth going because I had a lovely day out. I had a nice, long lunch with a friend, I went to a couple of interesting talks (and won a fab Fisher Price bouncer at one of them!), I picked up some good little freebies and lots of information leaflets and generally just enjoyed looking at all the baby stuff0 -
I went in October at 22 weeks. We hadn't made any big purchases, I'd say its probably not worth it if you have got most bits.
We saved huge amounts on our pram (haven't seen a deal like it since) & got a good deal + free stand on our Moses basket. Got some freebies & found out about different brands of reusable nappies.
Mostly it was a nice day out with dh & my mumFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Thank you I would love to go as a day out, but wanted to know what i'd be in for before deciding on paying out the money. I have most bits still left over from my LB and am pretty thrifty when it comes to hunting out a good baby bargain!
We're looking at a double pram as our LB recently got diagnosed with epilepsy after 3 weeks in hospital back in november, so would love to be able to see plenty up close and personal before dipping into the savings!
Just checked travel costs and it's around £62 for 3 of us :O Think i might have to give it a miss if i can't find it cheaper. Thanks both for your comments!0 -
Dont bother if you are going to test drive double prams. I went 6 yrs ago and only 1 stall had a double as the floorspace required is so large the stall holders could potentially fill it with other stuff that is more profitable.
I was expecting twins and was really disapointed about the lack of twin stuff. I did pick up some small freebees like wipes, dummies and such.
(BTW - you should get a second hand 360 Nipper. They are fab and dont veer into the road with different weight children. And they lay flat for newborns. No, i'm not a salesperson - just loved my one)0
