Tesco Mobile issue.

Afternoon all,

Having a problem with (I assume, at this stage) Tesco Mobile!

Got a staff contract with them back in the day, mid-2012 time, pay monthly £15/month, which my wife used.
Mid-2013 I got her a better phone with Three, and soon after went to the Tesco store (no longer worked for Tesco) and cancelled the Tesco contract. All fine and dandy, they said.

Noticed a few months ago that Tesco are still taking a £15 DD each month! Very miffed I went to the store and complained, also cancelled the DD. Sorted, they said, won't be an issue - I decided not to pursue the matter (very naively I guess, to trust ex-colleagues).

Got a letter today from Frederickson International Limited, however it only states that they're looking for the person that the letter is addressed to. Fortunately they've sent it to the wrong address also but it still found its way to me today; the letter is asking for me to contact them.

I have sent a strongly worded e-mail to Tesco Mobile's customer services, which I doubt will get very far. What else should I do?

Thanks in advance, all.

  • Contracts are legal documents and have to be kept to by both parties.

Did you cancel mid term? That could be why Tesco are still taking DDs.

Check the terms and conditions of the staff contract and also check with the customer services at Tesco Mobile as they may never have received your in-store cancellation from the store staff.

didnt know you could cancel in store?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Not a mid-term cancellation as Tesco contracts are (were?) 12 months only. I'm pretty sure I had the contract a bit longer than 12 months, actually, so it would've been a monthly rolling.
