Been with Virgin Media for several years now and am fed up with them.
I want to know is as I have not physically signed a contract with them, how can I cancel without incurring any charges?
They are just greedy !!!!!!s, and want to get rid of them.
Thanks.

You do not need to sign a contract with them, agreeing to upgrading of any sort, downgrading channels, phone, broadband automatically renews for 12 to 18 months. So as long as you have not phoned up and added or taken away in the last 12 months you should be okay.0

Trouble is I moved house in December and they are saying its a new contract and I will be charged.
All I did was swap services over, I did not sign any paperwork.
However its the same package I've had previously ::++((0 -
You don't need to sign anything. You have a new verbal contract effective from the date of your house move.
Do you really think Virgin would have absorbed the cost of re-installation at your new home without imposing a new minimum term?0 -
I was offered a new deal several months ago and was told it was a rolling contract that I could leave at any time the only stipulation was that I had to give them 30 days noticeAlways have too much month for my money
CC Balance = £4,371.87
Argos Card = £255.06 - £132.00= £123.06 = PAID0 -
A new retention deal is completely different to the costs associated with a house move...Madchickenlady wrote: »I was offered a new deal several months ago0 -
So after several years in contract, you were quite happy for them to move the service over to your new house FOC in December-but then you suddenly got 'fed up with them' in January?
You'll be in a new 12 or 18m minimum term. No signature is required, because you accepted the T&C's when you used the service. Leave now and you'll be charged the full ETC.No free lunch, and no free laptop

The reason I am fed up with virgin media is that I moved house in November into temp accomodation, they charged me x 2 months in advance £99.
When I moved into my bungalow in end of december, they charged me another 2 months advance this time £140.
Why I am fed up and will be going elsewhere when my contract runs out.
Greedy !!!!!!s.0 -
So you had two house moves in two months and they moved your services twice?!?!?
They have taken it in advance, not taken double, it all evens out.0 -
In this case, 'greedy' appears to mean 'honouring the minimum term you agreed'.No free lunch, and no free laptop

From the virgin media website
Will I have to sign a new contract? Yes, but that’s good news because you can take advantage of our latest offers.
