Use a hands free kit or stop to use the phone. So if that is not what you are after please give more details as telepathy is not something we are good at ;)

You WILL get a fine and points on your license. There is no excuse for using a mobile whilst driving as all those who filmed a crash on the M11 in Essex earlier this week will find out.

Pay the penalty and accept the points, to appeal is the magistrates court, you will still get the points but your fine will probably be 5 times as much. You could try https://www.pepipoo.com but they will probably say the same.

By the way there is no excuses for using a mobile behind the wheel, stop before you or somebody else is killed! If you can't resist it turn the thing off!

Don't apologise to us, apologise to the magistrates, the deed is done now, so chances are there will be the fine and points, however this is always going to be cheaper than a fine , a small price to pay for peace of mind.

A hands free kit costs less than 20 quid. Why????
  • I'm afraid I have no sympathy after almost being taken out on a roundabout yesterday by someone using a mobile phone. Worst of all, he didn't even know that he just missed crashing into the side of my car as he was far too busy talking and steering with his elbow.

No unless you appeal through the magistrates, they tend to believe witness statements from the police, unless you have firm evidence to counter what they have said you are done. So if you used the phone and was caught you have no chance IMO at court. Take the points and learn your lesson!
