hiya all

I have 3 and virgin pay and go sim cards that i use.

I have been using 3 network for last 3 months now. so far so good. i top up £15 a month and i get 300 min text and unlimited data. im happy with the unlimited coz i have been using a lot:
1st month 21GB
2nd month 37GB
3rd month 43GB
and this month so far i have used 22GB and have 2 weeks to go. but the only problem i have is sometimes i dont get the network in some places and that lets me down.

As per the virgin sim card i have been using it for last 1 year now. but since i got 3 i have not topup virgin.

I got a call from the virgin CS and was told about this VIP plan £15 unlimited everything. but as the call center is outside the uk i didnot understand a word what the CS said?

So could someone plz tell me When virgin say Unlimited Internet will it be same as 3 network?

Thanks
Maven

  • You could wait for someone to tell you or you could look on virgin's website. Which option is quickest? Not trying to be difficult, just baffled why you can't research this.

Virgin have a cap of 3.5GB data. After which speeds are slowed down to 384kbps. In other words, stay with three.

so in another words if i use more then 3.5GB it will drop from 3G to 2G.

Then why do they say its unlimited?

    Stick with 3.

I'm with them and sometimes exceed 100gb a month.

    Same £15 fee.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

I'm not far away from you in Edinburgh and yes, a couple of times through the week usually around 5-6pm 3 signal has not been great.

But it's still a lot better than t-mobile, for instance, I've got one of their sims and they've had outages of 6 hours plus.

Because technically you can still use the internet.... just it'd be very slow.

Blame the ASA for not being more strict on the use of unlimited.
